Elinor from Barry, Wales is one of our newest millinery customers and she has definately showed her talents in creating this fabulous Boater, if you are thinking about beginning your Millinery hobby or career read Elinor's story of how her journey began. 🌟🌟 "I’ve always been creative but until last year I hadn’t made the time to be. Last summer I was feeling creative and came across a fabric flower on Instagram and decided I’d give it a go. I was really happy with the result and wondered what I could do with it, after some thought I was inspired to make a fascinator. My first fascinator was sold after posting a photograph on Facebook this inspired me further to learn whatever I could about millinery. Working full time I do what I can in my free time.  This also inspired me to learn how to knit and I have been knitting hats too" I first admired Elinor's knitted hats and now admiring her Millinery skills. Please take time to look at @elinormade here on Instagram and Facebook.

We often get asked about how we became block makers. Like many others we fell in love with Millinery designing and making hats from home for many years before taking the plunge and moving  into our shop and workrooms in Oct 2007. Great memories came flooding back when I recently came across an article published in June 2008 in our local newspaper. When I received the phone call  featured in this article I nearly fell off my seat, we received numerous orders from Joline Simister and Angela Kelly of the Royal household. We regretfully drifted away from Millinery in 2013 due to changes in circumstances but continued  to be asked to make hat blocks for various milliners resisting until the creative urge became to hard to resist anymore. We decided however to concentrate only on making hat blocks this time. Now we send our hand sculptured hat blocks to you the Milliners of the World and I love seeing the magnificent hats and headpieces you all create using them.
