🦷 Impacted teeth 🦷 or tooth impaction, are teeth stuck in the bone and can occur with permanent canines, mandibular 2nd molars, and mandibular 3rd molars (wisdom teeth). . Oftentimes this is due to ectopic eruption (teeth moving into the wrong position) or deficient space (crowding) in the dental arch. . You can see in this particular case, we made room by extracting the wisdom tooth and placed a TAD (Temporary anchorage device) in the ascending ramus to upright the impacted 2nd molar 🦷. . . . . . #oralsurgeon
