"You don't develop courage by being happy in your relationships everyday. You develop it by surviving difficult times, and challenging adversity." Kathy and I met in school and quickly clicked with our low tolerance of stupidity and short line of patience. Every time she talked about alex, her face lit up, and anyone with half of a brain could see that kathy was happy. The first time I met alex, I will admit I was taken back by how much admiration he has for Kathy. I've seen them grow and handle adversity, happiness, sadness, loss, anger, and stress in a mannerism that people our age rarely understand.
Kathy and Alex demonstrate what a marriage should always have... trust, and communication. Everyone has their "once in a lifetime love" (believe it or not), and for Kathy, her once in a lifetime is alex. There is no one better for my best friend than you. You handle her at her worst with the same amount of effort you give when she's at her best. You go above and beyond to ensure that she is safe, healthy, and most importantly happy.
I am so excited to see what the future holds for these two incredible people... and what my nieces/nephews are going to look like. Kathy. Alex. There aren't two people in the world who deserve this beautiful celebration of your love more than you. Kathy, you deserve the very best. You deserve someone who will carry you through life and never make it look hard. You deserve the best, and I'm so happy that Alex gets to be the one to hold your hand in life. I can only hope one day, we all find a love as passionate, powerful, quirky, and fun as these two have. I love you both so much.... congratulations! #newleyweds #mybestfriendgotmarried #beautifulbride #kathyandalexgethitched #yesthiswasmyspeech #sorrynotsorry
