Bangkok, Thailand

Asia by Bicycles: Day 31 Thailand🇹🇭 It's time to leave Bangkok ➡️About our schedule For 2 days in Bangkok, we only managed to go for the tickets, fix the Yura's bike, buy everything we needed, spend dinner time with our hosts and have a short recreation. On the 3rd day, we planned to print the documents for the Myanmar visa and go to one cool place for cycling in the suburbs of Bangkok. But printing the documents was not as easy as we expected. In the 1st print shoe, wanted to charge the price of $ 1 per 1 page, and we went to explore the other print shops of Bangkok. We barely found places where we could print without cheating. The real price was 1 baht for 1 page. That is, 30 (!) times cheaper than what she wanted to take in the first shop! So far, the printout and mini-shopping took almost 2 hours, so we had to put off the beautiful places until the next trip to Bangkok. However, we had enough time to pack our stuff slowly and set off fo the bus station 4.5 hours before our bus' departure. ➡️About the traffic in Bangkok This time was just right to cycle to the bus station and pack the bicycles for transportation on the bus. "How can people think of buying their own car in Bangkok and stay in the traffic jams all the time?" - I couldn't put this thought out of my head as we rode 16 km to the bus station through traffic jams, most of which did not move at all. At some traffic lights, we had to wait for 4 (!) minutes. By taxi, we could easily spend 4.5 hours on the way to the bus station. And for many locals, this is the norm. This situation may happen in Hanoi if at one moment the drivers change their motorbikes to cars. I hope common sense will win, and this will never happen! #cycling
