Eye trauma is one of the most common causes of vision loss and impairment in the developed world, it is also the most common cause of eye injury in children. . Blunt trauma can be caused by a blow or poke to the eye from a blunt object. Typical cases can involve a fall that results in the eyeball hitting the corner of a coffee table or door handle. Other common causes are popped champagne corks or car air bags hitting the eyeball. The damage caused to the eye can be extremely serious and in some cases irreversible. . Should you or anyone you know suffer from a blunt trauma injury to the eye, seek medical treatment immediately and ensure that you receive a consultation with an ophthalmologist.

RIP Esme 🖤 it’s been 3 years since you changed my life for the better, but I still miss you everyday.
