So I'm picking up a few shifts at my old gym in Montana. Having been gone for a year, it has been awesome reconnecting with old friends and even better seeing the progress some folks have made in the last year. As a friend just mentioned, "Fitness is about the journey, not the destination"    #lifting

I hid my emotions behind exercise like some hide behind coffee - Don’t talk to me until I’ve had my coffee! - That is how I felt about working out - I would wake up at crazy hours of the morning to get my workout in because without it-I was irritable, anxious and felt as though I wanted to crawl out of my skin - Addiction, it was an addiction - I like to think it is because I am addicted to the “feel good endorphins” that come from working out - But in reality: I am fearful of gaining weight, losing progress, losing motivation and instead of taking 1 day off-I never go again - I know. Crazy. But emotions don’t usually make sense logically . Yes-I still fear days off but I have a more logical sense of perspective of what my body needs - Where progress has been made: I have adapted to working out in the afternoon and shockingly actually enjoy my workouts 100% more! - Working out in the afternoon has helped me shift my reasons for exercise - Instead of using my workout to fight my anxious demons, I now have half a days of food in me to fuel a workout that is productive and enjoyable - If you told me that I would feel this way a year ago-I would have never believed you - This is a reminder that baby steps accumulate to a larger shift in perspective in the long run - #lifting

Solid shoulders and arms workout: everything’s starting to fire again 🤩 . . . . . . . . . . . . #lifting

They sent me 3 different flavours: Lemon drizzle cakes 💛 6 syns for the pack Peanut butter cakes 🧡 9 syns for the pack Blueberry chia muffins 💜 7 syns for the pack . . I tried them all and they were delicious! Especially because they are so low in calories, sugars and high in protein! . The blueberry chia muffins were the best ones I think!! They were so good 😍 i really liked the peanut butter ones but I wish there was more peanut butter! 😂 but obviously for the calorie amount they are worth it! 🤩 . Back at it (pun intended) with back day. Supersets all over! Started with the row machine thing and supersetted wide and close grip. And then did the same with reverse grip barbell rows and pull-ups. This wasn’t the weight I used for the other sets but the only one I recorded so there you go (pretty clear it was too heavy for supersets so went down to 70kgs). Also mixed up the pull-ups and ended with some landmine rows, behind head pulldowns and abs! Also repping @primordialradio in the gym again! . . #lifting
