This is a rotator cuff stretch demonstrated by two of of trainers Gavin and Emma. The rotator cuff are a group of muscles that stabilise the shoulders. This is an important stretch to do before/after a workout or if you’re dealing with shoulder pain. Shoulder injuries can be slow healing and very painful, as many sports players and athletes will know, so it is vital to keep these muscles warm and able to move properly to avoid injury. β€˜Supraspinatus impingement’ is a good example of a popular shoulder injury, caused by connective tissue rubbing on the shoulder blade. The pain from this injury can be relieved using forms of stretching like this. To perform the stretch place hands behind back with palms facing outwards and have someone hold your shoulder to stabilise and push forward on your elbow. #justdoit
