For more on Grenfell inquiry coverage and the London Fire Brigade's leadership, click the link in the bio @missdeefromflorida to watch Super Snitch's special The Grenfell Series: "Stay Put" Failings and Dany Cotton. Sam Stein QC gave closing statements at the Grenfell inquiry. He likened Dany Cotton's position, given her remarks, toΒ the army saying, "we'reΒ pretty good at dealing with a minorΒ skirmish but... we've given no thought to fighting a battle." Although Sam Stein QC, criticized Cotton and the leaders, he added:Β "This condemnation of the leadership of the fire brigade of London should not be taken to be an insult to those on the front line." "No-one can or should forget the sheer bravery and determination of the individual firefighters who risked their lives in the Grenfell Tower." inquiry @missdeefromflorida

The London Fire Brigade's station manager Daniel Egan began overruling stay put advice by telling onlookers who were on the phone with loved ones inside the tower to tell them to get out of the building. "I was doing what I felt was right," he said. TRIGGER WARNING PLEASE πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š Inquiry - this is the previously unseen video that will form part of Luke Bisby, PhD, CEng's evidence this afternoon. It's a compilation of videos taken outside of Grenfell Tower and shows the truly extraordinary speed of vertical flame spread once it broke out from the flat of origin and took hold through the cladding and insulation. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kSNaRFp9mE0&feature=youtu.be

Robert Black, Former Chief Executive of Kensington and Chelsea TMO took the stand at the inquiry today where his overall demeanor appeared to be one of utter disinterest, and a running theme for him was to deny that he had any memory of important exchanges and point to Theresa Brown as the person he expected to do anything he was questioned about. The LFB needed a list of residents at Grenfell tower. (1:28:20) Nick Leyton, Local Authority Liason Officer (LALO), told the inquiry that he first asked Mr. Black to get this at 4:50 am and Black then made a call to get information. Black claimed at the inquiry that he did not recall this. Leyton stated he asked for this list three more times before he left at 7 am, and each time Black failed to get it. Black claimed he could not remember at any time making any call asking for a list of residents at Grenfell. (1:36:10) Millet revealed an email at the inquiry that proved Robert Black had received data of Grenfell residents at 5:38 am. Yet he failed to pass this on to Leyton the times he was asked. And he failed to even give this list to the LFB, who desperately needed it, until 7:56 am- that's 2 hours and 18 minutes after he received the email. His excuse was that he assumed Theresa Brown would use it to take care of it. Part 2 on Black at the Inquiry coming...
