It’s one of the most common incorrectly performed exercises I see - so hopefully this tutorial helps. ☺️ The glute kickback is not an exercise I do often as I don’t believe it is the best way to grow or strengthen the glutes simply because you can’t lift enough weight to cause the most amount of muscle fibre recruitment possible. When you use heavy weights for the kickback it ends up putting pressure on the lower back therefore I think it’s definitely a bonus exercise you can add into your glute day (providing you have good technique) but don’t expect much glute growth if it’s the only exercise you’re relying on β€œto grow your butt”. In my opinion nothing beats hip thrusts, lunges, deadlifts, squats, step ups, bridges, & split squats etc. for glute building & strengthening!! πŸ‘πŸ‘ŠπŸΌ . .

Are your self doubts holding you back❓ Do you know anyone who struggles with self doubt❓ . I always used to doubt myself and sometimes still do so I have to remind myself of this constantly! It takes a lot of work and you’ve got to be on top of it all the time. Removing self doubt and believing in myself has allowed me to achieve so many of my dreams and goals! I hope you can do it too! 2014 πŸ‘‰πŸΌ 2019 - Spot the difference! You got it - MY PHONE GOT BIGGER! 🀣 . This isn’t about what’s β€œbetter” or what you β€œprefer” this is about what I prefer... & I will always prefer being happy, strong & healthy - mentally & physically. πŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ˜ƒ . Out of all the changes I’ve made with myself I am most proud of overcoming depression & self esteem issues & I’ve learnt to love & believe in myself. I have days where I feel insecure, down & think negative things about myself - I’m human after all BUT for the most part I am positive & kind towards myself. . My second proudest change I’ve made is strengthening my posterior chain & growing my glutes! I had a functional goal which was to be able to fire my glutes properly & correct my posture and balance. But I also had a physical goal which was to build more β€œshape” and a butt! πŸ‘ It took many years but I am proud of what I’ve been able to achieve through hard work & consistency - Glute activation work, heavy weights, isolation exercises & lots of nutritious food - the food part hasn’t been hard though - I enjoy that part haha! 😝 . If you have a fitness goal remember IT TAKES TIME so be persistent & don’t give up! πŸ€—πŸ˜˜ . .
