Millions upon millions of tiny droplets of water, over time, formed this limestone column. Drip drip. All around me is the sound of 15 million year old minerals falling from the cave walls transforming, changing, growing from something that used to be on the sea floor to a pinnacle reaching for the light. They built something, purely out of their togetherness. What in the world could be more beautiful :) - I’ve just arrived on an island outside of Vancouver for the @triplit conference and I’m reading the bios and achievements of the attendees and I’m blown away! So many people who are already DOING and want to learn to be more effective at telling stories that matter. It’s rad. I’m excited for us all to be droplets over the next 5 days and, like nature, get down to the simple work of converging to to grow together. - Photo by @josiahwg standing in the deepest cave in Java during our trip with @indtravel. Definitely channeled my inner Lara Croft vibes🖤✨💪🏼

You guys I planned a thing!!! KAUAI ACROYOGA WORKSHOP is happening! I could not be more happy/proud/nervousish haha. Details and sign up link in my bio. - 💛 Includes two acro sessions Sept 5 & 6th aimed at BEGINNERS. All of us will stay overnight in a cabin in the mountains and eat delicious vegan meals. Going to be a grand time.🥳🦋🥥🌟Sorry for the semi- short notice, open to 16 participants only.

What does it mean to be better? @HyundaiUSA came to me with that question early this year and asked if Iʼd be willing to share a series of ideas and initiatives around how Iʼm in my own life (Ummm YES!!) while testing out their award-winning Kona over the next few months. Each month I will explore a different aspect or initiative on how I/we can be better, physically, mentally, and for our communities. For me, inside ‘betterʼ lives innovation, creativity, and a conscious habit of always striving to do one’s best. So in honor of physical challenges here is one that makes me better - highlining. It is by far the hardest thing I have ever learned to do and has taught me how essential it is to fall in love with the process of lifelong learning, failing and trying again. In my everyday life Iʼve been really enjoying pushing myself to strengthen my upper body with weights and pull ups. I am currently the reigning champion at my household over all the boys for who can hang on the pull up bar longest woot woot🥳 I challenge each of you to make a physical goal for the month of September or challenge me to one :p Use the hashtag in your stories or posts and Iʼll be featuring some of my favorites! :) -

A Cherokee proverb tells us that inside every person there is fight going on between two wolves. One is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. “Which wolf will win?” The one you feed. 🐺 - What does this have to do with whale sharks? In my travels I see many of the same struggles all over our natural world. For example this spot. Economically, East Kalimantan is almost entirely dependent on natural resources such as oilfield exploration, coal mining and gold mining. We saw mines and swaths carved out of the forests, big ships piled high with black coal, and plastic bottles clinking against each other as they pile up on the incoming tide. Yet a short boat ride away exists an absolute marvel of nature - whale sharks, crystal clear lakes, a turtle sanctuary, sublime cave diving, a rare lake full of stingless jellyfish, the list goes on. It felt like seeing two futures side by side. Two wolves. Which wolf will we feed? We were able to meet with the Minister of the province and express how much we hope they continue to shift their focus to protecting nature. I promised him I would tell people to visit, so here I am keeping that promise :) While ecotourism is Not going to save the world, it does create tangible value out of preserving an invaluable resource. Managed correctly everyone wins. Our future is shaped by what wolves we feed - both inside of us and out.🌿 - Photo by @cobiandewey, awesome human who on this trip alone did three beach clean ups with me. Appreciate you friend!

Me, pondering if I will ever feel motivated to post on Instagram again.😂 For me captions have always been the thing that give me the most pause. Like I don’t know what anyone else’s process looks like but mine is this slow crawl circle kind of thing haha. Sometimes it makes magic. Sometimes I stare at the wall. Usually I share when I’m excited about something - a place or a moment that amazed me. Right now, conversely enough, I haven’t been sharing on here because there are SO MANY things I’m excited about on the horizon that I’ve been giving myself to loving the present moment, to the amazing community of humans next to me, and to not diverting my energy into touching my phone too much :) - Anyway Happy Friday humans!! I would love to know something you’re excited about right now if you’d like to share. Or don’t. (It always feels like click baity 🤷🏻‍♀️ asking you all to comment but honestly I love having a peek into your joy.. no pressure 😋) I’m personally excited about all the new recipes I’ve been learning. Sounds kinda dorky but yea. I’ve always been pretty into dorky so I’m down🤓 photo by @cobiandewey ?

- Desert dancing. Or in this case, temporary deserts on an atoll. At certain times of day the tide would change drastically and what was once 10 feet underwater was now a myriad of perfect ripples undulating into the shimmering horizon. - For this shot I used @CanonUSA , and it was so nice to have the flip out Vari-Angle LCD to be able to get a low angle and still see the screen for framing. I find having it actually encourages me to get more creative with shot angles and help to nail focus more often (I put a few examples in my story as well). This campaign for their has been one of my favorite cameras to shoot with ever (like I make my friends buy this camera too) and I hope it has shown some of you that you don’t need a crazy expensive camera to get beautiful images and have a ton of fun! Thanks for helping with this one @cobiandewey - Shot on Canon EOS M50 EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM.

Always be the best person you can be. Be kind even when you’re tired. Be understanding even when you’re angry. Do more than you’re asked and don’t ask for anything in return. Don’t silently expect anything either. Listen when someone talks, and really listen too, stop just thinking of how you’ll reply. Tell people that you love them and that you appreciate them. Go out of your way to do things for people. Be the greatest person you can possibly be and when you mess up, make up for it in the next moment or minute or day. One thing you should never do? Never spend your time trying to prove to anybody that you’re great. Your actions will speak for themselves. We only have limited time on this earth...don’t waste it. If someone doesn’t see your light, don’t worry. Like moths, good people are attracted to flames and to light, and they. will. come.💫 - Photo by @silkymerman, always loved the beauty and grace of fingers. Most of the time mine look like crazy forks so thanks Ben for makin mine look all beautiful. Rings by my friend @scottjamesjewelry 🙏🏼 Words I found via Pinterest and I believe they originally belong to @tiny_yogini.

How I stand will not be shaped by who I stand against, but instead by what I stand for and who I stand with. - Beautiful words by @puacase spoken atop Mauna Kea🗻 I’m heading out of service to go camping with my friends but my goal as I move through the weekend: Be defined by love. - Photo by @josiahwg

Run towards things that spark joy✨ last night it started pelting rain and mid-sprint to the car I hesitated. “Stay!” I yelled to @kailocey. “What?!” “STAY! Let’s dance!” So we did. And the sun blazed from behind the clouds and it was still raining but we forgot why we would ever run from this. - This is and I am so grateful for the friends and simple grandness of appreciating it all. Oh and I didn’t have a bikini but I swam anyway hehe. It was fun.☺️

Maratua Island

Photos prove I wasn’t just dreaming. On a little atoll, far from all the things we didn’t want in the world and close to the things we did...We swam with little jellyfish in the morning, dove the spooky top section of a 24m cave swim through, and had a massive lunch before getting in the water again then playing board games at sunset. 💛 Can we collectively agree that I’m going to keep pretending to be in Indonesia for the next little bit here?😋 photo @cobiandewey -

The water clarity beside this little jetty on Arborek Island was some of the best I’ve ever experienced - well over 100 ft and teeming with life. Even though there were a hundred types of beauty in every direction (palm trees, cutest kids, beautiful fish) I love getting these top down shots. Something about the luminous hues of water and simplicity remind me of a painting :) Thanks for snapping this one @cobiandewey💧 - As always I’m so stunned by the clarity and detail the @CanonUSA produces in such a small and affordable set up. When I zoom into the RAW I can count the individual water droplets coming off my arm! This is my top recommendation for an entry level or travel camera. - Shot on @CanonUSA EOS M50 EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 STM Lens f/5 ISO 200 SS 1/1000

Goa Jomblang Semanu GUNUNGKIDUL

City, turned to country, turned to dirt road. We walked through some bushes and twiggy trees, crunch crunching dead leaves and harnesses jingling, to a tree covered hole in the ground. We had been given a quick lesson in rappelling and ascending in a mix of Indonesian, English, and a lot of miming. Apparently we passed the test and what followed was hands down one of the most beautiful outdoor experiences of my life. Here I am descending 300 feet through through technicolor beams of light. At one point I could see the rays all above me and a circular rainbow below me and all I could hear was the rushing of water below. If you’re ever in I would highly recommend doing this as a day detour!! - Photo by @josiahwg,he gets two gold stars for running around shin deep in mud while still nailing the angles for these pics. Everyone go give him🌟🌟 because he’s rad and one of the nicest humans I know. @indtravel
